The Beaufort Community Cat Project is an all-volunteer organization advocating non lethal methods (spay-neuter) to help reduce the free-roaming cat population. We are a charitable non-profit organization with federal tax exempt status (501(c)(3)).



Our Services

  • Provide reduced cost or free spay-neuter for free-roaming cats in the zip code 28516 and pet cats from low income households in the town limits of Beaufort, NC.  Contact us to see if you qualify.

  • Lend out humane traps to anyone in Carteret County, NC for the purposes of capturing cats for spay-neuter.


  • Provide advice about the humane management of free-roaming cats.
